Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 cup bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter unsalted
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp sriracha hot sauce or Tabasco
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- juice from 1/2 lemon,
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat Air Fryer to 400F
Step 2
Add all of the ingredients for the sauce to an oven safe skillet, stir and bring to a simmer for 7-10 minutes
Step 3
Add shrimp, sausage, onions, and peppers to a bowl. Season with Cajun Seasoning and drizzle with olive oil. Place in Air Fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Shaking the basket half way.
Step 4
Remove skillet from the heat and add the ingredients for the basket to the sauce. Toss so that it’s fully immersed in the sauce. Return to heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes
Step 5
Serve over rice or creamy grits
Thyme Tip:
Quick grits are great, but Polenta is better. Both need cheese, trust me.
